Step 1: Create an Account on the Animus Network

Step 2: Download Required Files

Download the SoftEther VPN client and configuration file.

Step 3: Install and Configure SoftEther VPN

  1. Run the SoftEther-VPN-Client.exe installer
  2. Choose the first option SoftEther VPN Client and complete the installation
  3. Open the SoftEther VPN Client Manager
  4. Right-click and select Import VPN Connection Setting...
  5. Select the downloaded Animus-Network.vpn configuration file
  6. Double-click the Animus Network server and wait for the Connected status
Note: If you have to enter a computer name while setting up the VPN, you can use any name you prefer.

Step 4: Configure the Launcher

  1. Extract the downloaded claudia.zip file
  2. Place the claudia.asi, claudia.ini and dinput8.dll in your Assassin's Creed Brotherhood game directory (where ACBMP.exe is located).

Step 5: Set up firewall rules

Download the firewall configuration script

Download _Firewall.bat
  1. Navigate to your Assassin's Creed Brotherhood installation folder (where ACBMP.exe is located)
  2. Move the downloaded _Firewall.bat file into this folder
  3. Right-click on _Firewall.bat and select Run as administrator
  4. Click Yes if prompted by User Account Control (UAC)
  5. Wait for the script to complete - it will show success messages for each rule
  6. Press any key to close the window when done
Note: You only need to run this script once and won't need to run it again unless you move your ACBMP.exe to a different location.

Step 6: Launch the Game

  1. Launch the ACB Multiplayer aka ACBMP.exe file
  2. Type in your credentials used on Animus Network into the Claudia Launcher and proceed
  3. In the game's main menu, go to Options > Anti-Cheating and set it to Off
Troubleshooting:
  • Keep SoftEther VPN connected while playing
  • If you encounter issues:
Done! The game should now connect to the Animus Network server when launched.
