Controller Setup Guide

This setup is generally only required for ACR because Claudia already handles fixing the controller input for ACB. However, you can use x360ce for both ACB and ACR.

Step 1: Download x360ce and Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables

x360ce Portable

Download the x360ce.exe portable version.

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015-2022

Download the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables.

Step 2: Install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015-2022

  1. Run the VC_redist.x64.exe installer and follow the on-screen instructions
  2. Run the VC_redist.x86.exe installer and follow the on-screen instructions

Step 3: Configure x360ce

  1. Open x360ce
  2. Click on Controller 1
    1. Enable Enable 0 Mapped Devices
    2. Enable Get XInput State
    3. Enable Auto Map
  3. Click on Games
    1. On XInput files: Enable v1.3: 32-bit
Info: Make sure that your inputs are registered and displayed in x360ce.

Step 4: Select the controller in game

  1. Launch the ACB Multiplayer as usual
  2. In the game's main menu, go to Options > Controls > Customize Controls > Controller
  3. Select Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)
Info: There may be multiple entries for Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows).
Select the one which is showing the correct Xbox buttons: A, B, X, Y
Troubleshooting:
  • Keep x360ce running while playing
  • Follow these steps if you encounter issues:
    1. Exit the game
    2. Exit x360ce
    3. Disconnect your Controller
    4. Open x360ce
    5. Reconnect your Controller
    6. Launch the game
    7. Select Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows)
